Can I have a hug please?

I am totally physically and emotionally exhausted. Mostly of my own doing, as I just should not fight eveything that is wrong and help anyone who needs it.

Never in my life have I needed a holiday more than I do right now. But cant take one - money, kids, life everything.

Yes I need to be more selfish but I always thing that if it was me that needed help I would hate for someone not to be there.

Sorry to be self indulgent but I needed to vent.

Poor you :grouphug: here is a cyber-hug from me!

We all have really down down days.

Sometimes just doing something different from the norm - like grabbing sandwiches and sitting in the park with a book can help cheer you up.

Take the kids and a ball and spend an afternoon in the sun.

You have the Bank Holiday coming up this weekend so its a great excuse!

BTW, you have done fab with killing off the debt, you can't forget that!
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

You have to learn to say "NO". Make this your goal. I know how you feel, and 3 years ago I felt just like you - then big things happened in my life and I decided that I wasnt going to be as dependable to all and sundry as I had been, because when I needed them, they wernt there for me. SO gradually (and it takes a long time to change the habit of a lifetime!) I have learned to say NO and put me (and my immediate family) first - and its soooooooooo much better. Grab some time doing what you want to do - it wont just happen - you have to make this happen for yourself - but you are worth it!!!

Why don't you give yourself a 'holiday at home' for one complete day you will do no housework, no debt-chasing things etc - just have a long bath, read a book, go for a walk etc - whatever you enjoy doing (and make others cook your dinner!)
