Car Accident --Insurance Question

Hello

I was involved in a car accident for the very first time last week -- Another car drove into us (my partner was driving) and then drove off. Luckily we are fully insured. Thing is we were both left with painful necks and (in my case) arm from the accident. We have been to the doctor who has confirmed some nerve damage. We are to go back in 2 weeks if it doesn't get any better.
This may seem like a silly question but what should we do about the insurance? The other driver is at fault and we have legal cover included, but do we wait the 2 weeks or should we contact the insurers now?

Are you thinking of making a claim or just want to ensure you dont lose your no-claims for fixing the car ?

Sorry -- I wasn't clear. We have already got a claim in for the damage to the car and we are wondering about making a claim for our injuries through our insurance.

I just posted some information here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=455727#post455727 HTH, you dont have to use your insurer, but, if you do same principles apply.

Thank you for your advice. I had to ring the insurance anyway to ask about something else so I brought up the injuries and they have now appointed us a solicitor who will be in touch at some point.
