I'm looking for a cloud provider that allows folder uploads from IE without having to download an applet or a different browser.

SkyDrive lets you upload files to a folder via the browser, or whole folders via the app.
Google Drive lets you upload whole folders via the web.
Both are free so why not see which (or another provider) you prefer.0 -
Never trust cloud, you can get a USB keyring will come handy all the time.
