Requesting breakown of charges without paying for statements?

Hi,

Hope this is in the right place..

I had a student account with BoS with an overdraft of about £600. They withdrew my overdraft when I stopped being a student and I was out of work so couldnt afford to pay.

It got transfered to a DCA and I am about to make my final payment to clear the account. I have paid back over £1000 which I guess is bank charges for not paying my overdraft back until it went to DCA.

Read somewhere that I could request a breakdown of charges without paying individually for all my statements? (I lost the thread I was reading about this and cant find again..)

Can anyone please advise on if I can do this and if I can how to request them?

Thankyou,

You spend £10 and do a Data subject access request.

However, why would you want it? Its not as if you can claim the charges back any more.

  • thanks for your reply..

I was hoping that I could see when the charges were applied and when it was transfered to DCA. My credit file shows as being late for well over a year before defaulting. Don't understand why it didnt default sooner?
