Just received an email from Skype asking why I have not used my new Skype account live:..........

I have not registered this account, I did have a MSN Messenger account which was not in this name and also an existing Skype account which was not in this name???

I have not used my MSN or Skype accounts for a while.

I know Microsoft have replaced MSN with Skype, but to set up a new account for you is taking the p!ss.

Because I already have a Skype account that I don't use and you cannot delete Skype accounts.

MSN is no more, it's all now Skype, which Microsoft now own. All MSN accounts were transferred to Skype. MS have just sent you a marketing email as you haven't used your "new" Skype account which is really your old MSN account.

It's not my old MSN account as it is a new name. I did not merge my old Msn account for a reason, as I did not use it nd I already had a Skype account which I also did not use.

I do think it is Microsoft who set it up as the beginning of the Skype name is live: which coincides with Windows Live Messenger???

I have emailed Skype asking them to delete the account.
