Automatic Car Stalling When Slowing Down

I didn't think Automatics stalled but when driving the car it stalls when slowing down or coming to a stop and it takes a little while to switch back on. I have to turn my hazard lights on because it's stalled at traffic lights a couple of times. It has an anti theft immobolizer, would that have anything to do with it?…

My Toyota Celica gen4 auto used to stall when slowing down, then was hard to restart. Turned out to be EGR valve faulty.

I suspect that OP's car has self diagnostics built in, try looking on Vaux owners website for codes. The Toyota one was to short out te1 and e1 in diags box, then codes flash on dash.

They say you can't wheelspin autos either. I could!
