Hi,
i have been trying to get a bank account for weeks. I have tried all the high street banks i can think of including nationwide and co-op. I start work tomorrow and cannot seem to find anyone who is willing to give me a bank account with a bank card apart from the ones online who are willing to fleece you on a monthly basis. Does anybody know of any other banks like the co-op who offer basic bank accounts?
Ive already heard of going to equifax etc and cant because i dont have a bank card, however i do know what my credit score is rougly

A savings account will do to get your wages paid into."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0

Tesco do an instant access savings account with sort code and account number. Will allow you to get paid and gives you a ATM card to withdraw funds.0
