Item bought online not as shown

I ordered a picture frame online from a company in Germany. The item was despatched in good time and received but does not look like the one shown on the company's website.
The picture shows a chunky white wooden frame, the one I have received is very narrow and although a similar style does not look like the one they are advertising.
I have contacted them through PayPal's resolution centre but keep getting the response that it has been correctly described and delivered and if I dont want it I should return it for a refund. I have stated that I'm not happy to pay return costs as I'm not at fault and that I'm willing to accept a partial refund to keep the frame or a full refund inc. my postage and return postage costs but have a feeling I'm not going to get anywhere.
Does anyone know if I'm likely to get anywhere with this if I escalate to PayPal or am I stuck?
Any advice appreciated, thanks
