Redundancy and Modification order 1999

Options
I have been made redundant from a county Council and under the terms of the modification order I can't go for another job with the same county council.
Does anyone know if I can apply for a NHS job within the 4 weeks of that order, so I dont lose my redundany money? At the moment the county council is in partnership with the NHS.

Is the actual job you are considering applying for one which is a joint appointment with the LA or in a work area which is a joint enterprise?

Would you be working on NHS premises or LA ones?

The job that I have been made redundant from is a joint between County Council and NHS. I got paid by the County Council and the NHS part funded it. The job that I will be applying for is just with the NHS and it would be on NHS premises.
I really dont want to lose my redundany money.

Read the full terms of the redundancy scheme carefully.

Applying for a job within 4 weeks isn't the same as starting or being offered one within that time.

The NHS is not one organisation. If it was joint funded by the NHS that was probably through the PCT (which, as you will know), no longer exist as operational units.

So if the NHS job is working for an acute trust or one of the new bodies I wouldn't see a problem - especially as you suggest that the restriction you have is about working for the same Council when it could have said any local authority.
