Mail merge

I have a label template from a stationary company we use, and want to merge data from a database. If I try to create a mail merge from within Word, I have to create a new label, but I can't seem to get it to populate the other labels. Does anyone know of an easy method of merging to a template. The only tutorials I can find, mostly deal with labels already within word (Avery). Ideally, we would prefer to print straight to the envelope, which we used to do, but now we are using old 'wages' envelopes, which are only 10.1cm x 10.8cm, and Microsoft applications don't seem to deal with something this small.

Well Libre Office (it's free) supports Tower Labels (User) that 10cm x 10cm if that helps. My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
