Vendee - advice on things to do please!

Hi,

We are going to stay in La Tranche Sur Mer in the Vendee (France) over half term and wondered if anyone had any info or recommendations for things to do in the area?

We'll go to Puy Du Fou and probably have a day in La Rochelle, but any other advice would be appreciated!

We are travelling as a couple with our 18 month old daughter and my 13 year old nephew.

Thanks!

Puy Du Fou is excellent, though your French needs to be reasonable to understand it. I think they do some sort of audioguide in English if it isn't.

Drive to Noirmoutier over the causeway is interesting with all the cockle collectors.

Loads of "accrobranches" places, these are like Goape in the UK but usually much bigger, better and cheaper.

Fort Boyard if the 13 year old watches it (is it still on?)

Lots of good beaches, and excellent seafood particulary oysters and mussels.
