Hi, regarding the reply by Belinda, yes, loads of choice but
1. the QVS alarm is NOT Kitemarked and dosn't show any independent testing certification.
2. Although the Joel unit may come from a better reputed stable in China it too dosnt have a Kitemark!
3. The google link does show lots of product that offers product considered more suitable for use in this country.
If this product does not work when you need it, it's too late!! Look for a product that shows indeendent testing certification to BS EN 50291 a testing house of good repute will always be shown by name. Also look for the Kitemark. The Kitemark is granted by the British Standards Institute for products that conform AND have ongoing random testing without warning to ensure continued performance. Do NOT rely on the CE mark, this only refers to the electrical part of the product and makes NO reference to the ability to detect CO gas.
A good point of ref is https://www.carbonmonoxideinfo.org for carbon monoxide information and product comparison.0 -

That's excellent information, James, and much appreciated as I'm on the lookout for one too.
