Long Stay Flights!

Hi

I was wondering if there is any here that can help me.

I am looking to go to Las Vegas for 3 months...Aug/Sep/Oct this year. I have checked as many flight companies as I can think of as well as all the usual sites which check all airlines and the cheapest I can get from Man/Las is around £700 per person!! Yet when I check for up to a month they are around £350 - £400. Can anyone tell me if there is a reason for this. I still only want one flight out and one flight back!!

Is there anyone I can check which won't charge these huge prcies for a long stay flight.

Please can someone help...I really want to do this

Cheers
Kathy

I think there are probably several things affecting this, although I doubt whether it's specifically because of the length of the stay.

Firstly, BMI is (I think) the only direct flight between Manchester and Las Vegas. So there isn't a great deal of competition, and making the journey with anyone else will involve a change somewhere.

I think the main problem with your dates is that August is still 'holiday season' and November is starting to get towards Christmas. So any three month set of dates will fall within one period or the other.

Have you considered flying to Los Angeles and looking for a cheap-ish connection from there?

Thanks markmat... I am not bothered about a direct flight...as long as its only 1 stop.

I have also tried from London but that is just as expensive. I haven't tried LA so maybe that is something to look at....I guess we could hire a car from there and drive...we've done that journey a few times.

As for crossing over holiday periods I guess whenever we go for 3 months we would do that...but I thought August would be relatively cheap because not many people want to go then as its so hot
