hi all
we are legoland annual pass holders
we are 2 adults 2 children, im wanting to book a trip to windsor. we will be using public transport so will get the train to 'windsor and eton riverside' . there is a bus stop right by the station which will take us to legoland so thats not a problem. im trying to find somewhere to stay near to the station/bus stop reasonably priced. ideally id like to go for 3-4 nights. having 2 days at legoland. we can go anytime from sat 27th july until thursday 8th august.
i know its school holidays but its the only time we can go, im a teaching assistant and my husband is off work during those dates.
does anyone know of any places to stay near to the station/ bus stop please?
ive been googling but am struggling!
thank you

Although not by Windsor station, you could look at the Slough Travelodge as there are a lot of family rooms for the dates you want for £22-£25 per night. It is near the train and bus station. It looks like a bus from Slough to Legoland takes 30 minutes. There is a travelodge in Windsor but is considerably more per night .

There is a Holiday Inn Express in Slough (The HI in Windsor does not seem to do family rooms) and express hotels include breakfast. The info says the train to Windsor takes 6 minutes. Randomly checking dates 4-8 August the hotel works out £62 a night for a room with double bed and sofa bed that sleeps 4 using the HI 35% off link. It seems to have good reviews on Tripadvisor.0 -
thats great thank you. i am new to using public transport- so not sure of which route id have to take etc so will do some research. im coming from ely station in cambridgeshire and was going to go to windsor and eton riverside as i thought it was easiest to get a bus from there into legoland itself. maybe thats not the case? aaaggghhh confusing!

Hi,
We stopped at the Travelodge at Slough (for a trip to LEGOLAND) and would not recommend it. The Premier Inn in Slough is much better and not far from the train station/ bus station either from memory. I would say that Slough is much cheaper than Windsor when we were looking for accommodation. There is also a large Tesco and Sainsburys right in the centre of Slough which we used to buy stuff for a packed lunch for LEGOLAND too.
From a quick look you could catch the 702 bus from Slough bus station and that takes about 30 mins to get to the main entrance at LEGOLAND (wish I had know as would have saved the queues waiting fro car park and parking fees!!). Buses are 9.05 and 10.05 then every half hour.
Enjoy your trip.0
