vodafone scam

i received a call from a company claiming to be Vodafone in oct last year offering me a blackberry phone..i was a customer of vodafone and still am..when it didnt arrive i called vodafone to ask where this phone was to be told they had no record of any such call to me and that a company employed by vodafone were calling there customers offering them early upgrades and as a result vodafone stopped using this comapny but as a good will gesture they would send me this phone for my inconvenience..after the phone began to display faults i called them to advise what to do only to realise that they had extended my contract by 2 years because i accepted this new phone..the phone is not functioning now and has been returned to me from vodafones repair dept un repaied and theyre claiming it has moisture damage which i am disputing and theyve left the matter like that so im paying them every month for a contract i didnt ask for and cant use there service as theyve left me with a phone that doesnt work, theyre only solution to this problem is to send me out a new phone with a brand new contract, surely they cannot get away with this..any helpful advice would be much appreciated..i have also launched a complaint with the ombudsman services.

Did you really think they sent you a phone costing a couple of hundred pounds in a fit of generosity?

just get a pay as you go phone and pop in the sim card. no need to start a new contract, who ever told you that is lying, and after his or her commission

Which third party seller called you ?

The contract would have been extended by the third party and you should have got a confirmation by email of everything which was agreed and would have had 7 working days cooling off.

The phone and contract are separate and even if the phone cannot be repaired, you still have to pay the airtime contract.

No mobile company is going to send you out a new phone for nothing, it would be cheaper to go and buy a cheap phone to go with your contract.

So you signed up to a 2 year contract.
    Didn't receive the phone
Called Vodafone who agreed to send you at the phone which you had already agreed to.
    Phone developed a fault
You sent it back and they said it's water damage.

Now you're complaining that you're in a 2 year contract....?

Why do people complain when they don't have anything to go on?
