Flight cancellation and unfair charges for refund of taxes

OK - I misunderstood what you were saying about Travel Dates.

The repeat booking of someone on flights due to an internet error can be argued by the airlines is the customers fault, and covered in their T & C's. However, it has come up frequently in this forum, and I agree airlines should allow some flexibility. However, Ryanair argue they keep their costs down by allowing no flexibility. So what's to be done?

Maybe a campaign similar to the bank charges is needed. But the sheer scale of people affected is not similar.

Have you actually spoken to a human being yet at Flybe? One that might help?

You only mention Flybe here but say the duplicate flight is with a different airline, have you looked at their Ts&Cs for cancelling/claiming taxes back
Which one did you book first?
Looks like you want to fly with the other airline now - were they cheaper/better times?
