Quidco and Santander 123

I used Quidco for the first time for tracking for a Santander 123 application. I had email on 19/03/13 to say it had been tracked OK. I realised I had not added any account details for the payment to be made. I had email to confirm that on 27/03/13.
Then on 28/03/13 another email of a tracking receipt. On the site now, it shows 'tracked' updated 19/05/13, though I can't see that anything has actually changed on that date.
As I am new to cashback sites, can I reasonably expect that this will actually get paid, and if so when is it likely? It's just I'm reading that some 40% of people don't get paid from Quidco
I have met the terms of the account with more than two DDs, have paid the first fee (another being due soon) and just got the first cashback via the account from the DDs.

Where are you reading and is this in general or for Santander?savetilibleed wrote: »I used Quidco for the first time for tracking for a Santander 123 application. If it was tracked and you satisfy all T&C, you are very likely to get it.
Re the actual payment it's far too early yet. For today's applications the deadline is in 3 months.0 -

Well I have been a member since March 08 and have received 100% of everything that was available to me.
Sure I have had to raise the odd claim. But it has always come back, and been paid.
You just have to be aware some companies can take months to pay up....
10 months the longest I have had to wait. These are usually insurance co's.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
I got breakdown cover with RAC on March 13 and still waiting for cashback. Tracked okay.
First time I've used Quidco. It doesn't really bother me because I didn't get it for the cashback, but would be nice if I do get it
What will your verse be?

Similar here, and I have been a Quidco member since at least 2006.
I did recently make a 123 application via Quidco - it tracked alright but as yet there is no planned payment date. Even though some payments happen quite quickly, others can take months to come through.
Generally speaking though you should treat Quidco/TCB etc cashback as a bonus, and not bank on the money until you have actually received it.0 -

Although the mobile checkin's can turn a day trailing round the shops with the Mrs, from a chore into a money fest:D Even the daughters has caught onto this money for old rope trick :rotfl:
I agree that its a bonus.
Although its saying if you apply for Santander now it will pay in August. So looking at 3 months.
My app for the 123 was end of Jan and is still tracking.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
Unrelated to the o/p but I thought I'd share my Quidco "longest payment" story.
Made a purchase through Quidco in May 2009 for a magazine subscription, stopped using Quidco in favor of Topcashback, got in March 2013 (almost 3 years later) saying the payment had been received.
Happy days - six quid richer
Back on topic - I hope my Santander payment works out - I've had varying degrees of luck with cashback sites and currently have 5 queries between Quidco and Topcashback waiting to be resolved (one of those is > 12 months old).0 -
Just a thought. Should I have used the switching service to get cashback? I had no intention of doing this as I wanted to choose which DDs to switch and when. I have 4 DDs now. Quidco still says Tracked, updated 19/05/13 as above. I realise I need to regard cashback as a bonus, but it'd be nice if it worked. I am sure there's been a change to the T&Cs. But I haven't kept a copy of what they were when I applied. Doh. Nonetheless, I don't recall there was anything about switching in the T&Cs back in March/April/May, but there is now.
My theory is that the jobsworth at Santander who must authorise the payments to Quidco suddenly realised there are too many people applying, and probably just for the cashback. They therefore hastily implemented the "must switch to get cashback", and are hoping the existing applications trip over the Quidco system/T&Cs.
The Quidco system/T&Cs being that you must raise a cashback claim within 8 weeks of the application if the proper amount does not show within 30 days.
Source: http://www.quidco.com/santander-123-current-account/?acCashback will initially track with no amount. Please allow 30 days for the full amount of cashback to track. If the full amount has not tracked within 30 days please submit a cashback claim within 8 weeks of the application date.
However, if you try to raise a cashback claim because the proper amount doesn't show within 30 days, the Quidco system won't allow you to raise a claim (can't remember now what reason they give, but it doesn't work).
Only way out of this is to contact Quidco support with your Santander OLA (which no doubt you kept, lol) as well as your inside leg measurement, and they will then raise a cashback claim for you. Whether such a claim will result in payment remains to be seen. I reckon that unless you asked for another current account to be transferred, you might see zilch cashback from Santander. Happy to get proven wrong though.
If you miss the 8 weeks deadline at Quidco, they will more than likely turn round and say "tough". Only saving grace will then be that Santander are unlikely to ever pay Quidco, either.
Anyone applying from now on via Quidco/TCB: please note the cashback offer is now only for switchers.0 -

If I use the Contact form, there's a link for 'Has yet to be confirmed' then dropdowns to pick the retailer and purchase. But it goes no further than that (no OK or Submit button or something).

If I try the cashback claim process, there three options -
'Missing Cashback You made a purchase more than 3 days ago but it's not showing in your Quidco account'
'Declined cashback
Your cashback declined in the last 45 days'
'Incorrect amount
Your cashback is at tracked, confirmed or paid status but it's the wrong amount'
None of these seem right - well I suppose the first one is least wrong!
I do still have the OLA number (aren't I good!) but no idea where to tell them that.0 -

Somewhere (I can never remember where, it's well hidden) there is an option to just send them a message. Once you have crossed that hurdle, you should be able to convince them that they want to manually raise a cashback claim for the 123 for you.0
