Gaming PC How much?

As an earlier poster stated top end P.C sytems tend to drop quick and by a large ammount.
If I was looking to get the most for my money I would buy from someone else. or buy something that is just behind the cutting edge.
I have just had a look on ebay and there seem to be quite a few around .It is also worth considering the fact that most people who build these monster rigs care for them very well .Making sure the processors,Hard drives etc , are running cool, even down to the best cooling compound ,
So what I would say is aim for this type of machine http://http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DELL-XPS-710-H2C-GAMING-PC-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ300114250193QQihZ020QQcategoryZ179QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and then try and find it for £15000 -
Dont ever buy a top end rig from ebay.
The dell XPS looks good, but that is a gaming rig, dont go for dual graphics cards, not for 3ds maxMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
From your post it seems you are not after the cheapest pc so get a decent Dell.like

Much better than the real cheap pc's, & should be able to cope with most apps. Good 2 gig memeory deal at mo and make sure the graphics are at least 250mb. Can't go wrongNudge nudge, Wink wink, Say No More!0 -
I'm sorry, but saying get a graphics card with at least 250mb is completely missleading. You can get £35 cards with 256mb on them but they would be far from suitable for games or intensive 3d graphics.0

Have to agree, my current graphics card has 256 MiB RAM and it is only Geforce FX5700. Pretty poor for modern games."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

The Problem is that 3d SM will use as much power as you can give it, the quad core processor would be perfect but a remortgage of the house it required to buy one and for the Graphics again the nvidia geforce and ATI radeon cards are tuned for gameing. For 3d graphics work like with 3d SM you ned to be looking at the Quadro or the FireGL cards. for those buying autocad systems we would use matrox cards they in their time were very good, I stll have a G450 card in one of my machines no good for games but 2d work is fantastic.0
