Underlay under lyno?

Good morning all,

Trying to forget about the disappointing football last night so am thinking about my bathroom. We purchased an offcut of lyno from a local flooring shop to do out bathroom with. However as it is quite thin do we need underlay down first to raise the level and give it a softer feel?

If so what is the best to go for?

Thanks

Phil

You dont usually put underlay under lino but if you are laying in on top of old fashioned 4 inch floorboards you will have to lay a thin plywood first.
If you dont do this in a few weeks time you will see all the lines of the boards thro the lino
