    Don't buses have tachographs?
That would at least show the speed the bus was doing

The bus would normally have cctv cameras on it, these would have helped if you knew you would have these problems

Bus drivers never used to use the tacograph's. Sometthing about the timetable being all that was required.

    Not sure if thats changed?

I'm not at all sure what you're looking for here, what outcome? Are you still trying to get your car repaired after 3 years, trying to recover an excess you paid to the insurance company or get compensation from the bus driver for injuries etc?

Apart from your annoyance at what you consider to be an incorrect report by the Police Officer, what else is keeping this case open?

Hi Catherine, yes I am trying to get my losses reimbursed. I am self employed and I was off work for a month with my injuries, I also ended up with PTSD. My youngest son who was my passenger will still not travel in a car if he doesn't have to. Emotionally the accident has had a huge impact on my family as my wife and 2 older sons 10& 13 were travelling in the car behind me. They witnessed it all and they thought that we would both be killed in the crash. Basically I was driving with clear right of way when the bus came speeding out of the side junction leaving me with no option but to hit at about 50 MPH. Then eventually find the PC statement saying driver of bus was not at fault. This is what is causing the problem as his insurance are using the PC's report as a way of not admitting liability.

How was the liability for the incident settled regarding your repairs?

(And it seems you don't have any legal representation? Have you been refused any "no win no fee" type help?)

Any ideas what motive the PC would have for doing this?

Not doubting your story, but wondering just why a police officer would potentially risk their career over something like this where they don't get any obvious direct or indirect benefit from it.

Maybe the driver and the bobby shook hands before departing the scene?

Hi Quentin my insurance paid me out for my van as it was a write off. Yes I have a solicitor on the case who has written a letter of complaint to the police about the PC's statement and with regards to not questioning witnesses. It all seems to come down to this statement the PC made up.
Dirk Gently I honestly have no idea why he wrote this report. I just can't understand it. There are loads of wrongs in his report such as he never mentioned my son at all. The fact is my son was taken to hospital heavily traumatized and strapped to a spinal board. When I read his report there was no mention of this.

Don't think the report is "wrong" because your son wasn't mentioned in it.

But your solicitor should be disputing this report over the innacuracy over the diesel.

What does he say about that?

(Did you have to pay your excess over the write off or lose any NCD?)

My solicitor is using witness statements that are saying there was no diesel spillage that caused the crash. There are 4 people who can vouch for there being no spillage on the junction.
With regards to his report he said he gave me a breathalyzer test which proved negative. This is wrong I was not given a test.
Yes I did pay my excess but have protected no claims so did not lose the discount. Although my insurance did go up slightly due to the crash :-(
