Sony Vaio F11 From Currys

Hi All
I have had a Sony vaio Laptop for the past 3 years and 3 months now. It has a serious overheating issue which was known by Sony - who did not recall the laptops but offered a software patch. This was hardly a fix!
In the first year it was repaired by sony under warranty. And in the 2 years after that it has been repaired by Currys 2 more times (under the sales of goods act) for the same issue. This issue tends to creep up every 7 - 8 months every-time and its starting to get frustrating having to send it off to currys for repair for 2 - 3 weeks at a time. It does cause inconvenience to me, and i dont basically think the issue will ever be solved due to the nature of the laptops composition. So basically the fix is a temporary solution!
I was wondering if there was anything i can do further rather then just get it repaired every 7-8 months for the same issue - can i get a refund/replacement or do anything else? Any advice will be appreciated!
Thank you in advance

If you did qualify for a refund its allowed to take account of the use you've had so don't expect much back. I'd keep getting it repaired for free if it were me....0

That is the idea at the moment, i have a email written up to send but was just wondering if there was anything further i can do. The laptop overheats quite a lot - enough to really burn scold the skin with continuous use. My hands literally go red!
Just the hassle of knowing that the issue will just keep coming back over and over again and after 6 years basically a £1500 laptop is basically useless! And in my opinion thats not acceptable but the law says otherwise.0 -
Any idea what they do to fix it each time it goes in?0

Hi, Thanks for all the replies. They have actually had to replace the motherboard all 3 times to the best of my recollection, along with the fan too once or twice (they never have given a detailed enough report! Im guessing its slowly all melting away inside - the heat is very excessive - literally enough to make the hand go all red even if its freezing cold!0
