Conveyancing recommendations?

Hi,

I am in the process of selling and eventually buying a new house. Can anyone recommend any good and cheap conveyancing solicitors?

Thanks

Cheap - no (reasonable in comparison to others)
    Excellent - yes

    Which area are you in?

My advice would be don't go with the cheapest, go with a recommendation from someone you trust. It's the biggest purchase you're likely to make and having a good solicitor makes it so much easier, which is worth every penny you pay them.

    too many comps..not enough time!

If you're anywhere near Warrington I would personally recommend Barbara Barnett, the conveyancer at Albinson Napier & Co Solicitors. Reasonable price and excellent service in my opinion so far. But you would need to be reasonably near as at some point you have to go in with photo ID and proofs of address because of the money laundering regs. (I have no idea how online solicitor firms get round that bit.)
