In need of some help please, I sent a letter to welcome to claim my PPI back and they've sent me a letter saying that 'on march 2011, the FSCS took the decision to declare WF in default after considering that WF was unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it made by policyholders'
Does anyone understand what this means as I havent a clue!
thanks in advance

It means that if you bought a PPI policy through Welcome after January 2005, FSCS will investigate your claim that it was mis-sold to you.
You should have been sent a letter from FSCS. If you haven't kept it, ring Welcome up and ask them for an application form.
If you have any outstanding loans with Welcome whether they are in arrears or not, any refund will go against these first.
Do NOT instruct a claims management company to act on your behalf.0
