DPS - Reasonable timescales for releasing deposit?

Hello.
The deposit for my old place is held by the DPS (Deposit Protection Scheme).
There was a few issues with how I left the place (apparently) so I went back and had to replace a light bulb and sort a little blue mark on one of the doors (from where the crappy paintjob the LL had done had flaked off)
Anyway... I put a little bit of paint on the door, which was white.. Like the door... But not exactly the same white.
The agent then acknowledged and confirmed that I had sorted the issues (by e-mail), but had to e-mail a picture of the paint to the LL to get their approval.
It's now coming on to 10 days since I went back so as they have acknowledged that all issues have been sorted, and I have heard nothing about whether my deposit is going to be released or not. Are they now breaking the terms because it's been more than 10 days since they said the place was 'fine' ???
And knowing this agent/LL, they'll no doubt argue that this 1inch squared blob of paint in the middle of the door (in the hallway) somehow affects it's use or counts and damage, in which case keep your eyes peeled for one of the stupidest court cases to ever grace this planet :rotfl:
