Aquacard Any Experience??

Hey,

I keep getting letters and emails sent to me regarding the Aquacard, I already have a Vanquis card (I think Aquacard has a lower APR?) - does anyone have any experience with Aquacard?

Info I would really like is:

Do they have UK call centres?
Are they responsive?
The 39% APR on their homepage, is that what you actually get? If not what is your APR?

I'm considering moving from Vanquis to Aquacard (I don't want two) - but if Vanquis is better then there's no point.

Cheers guys

Aqua arguably have better customer services (run out of HBoS) and tend to have lower rates.

You may get higher or lower than the headline rate.

A friend gave his up !
  • I have a Vanquis (APR 34.9%) and just registered my Aqua advance card today (39.9% APR), although the Aqua card does drop 5% per year for 3 years but I would've preferred for the APR to be set at 34.9 so it drops to 19.9% after the 3 years :(

Oh well. You should actually keep both cards. Your Vanquis will show stability as its been opened longer.

Ive had an Aqua a few months now, only have positive things to say about their customer service.

One thing is their online service is a little behind the times, but still useable.
  • I have an Aqua Reward card based on the no load for overseas purchases and 3% cashback. No complaints re service as haven't needed to call them. Website is slow and clunky but perfectly functional.

My APR is 34.9% but its academic as it is cleared in full each month.
