Daisies have taken over my lawn!

Hopefully one of you lovely people will have a suggestion for me :)

Both lawns (front garden and back) have been taken over my daisies, I've cut the grass a few times and think "aha I've got them" but no, there they are the next day, back to normal.

It doesn't look very nice and tbh it's annoying. Is there any way to get rid of the very persistent daisies without damaging the grass??

The MSE way is to enjoy them.

Oh, and set the lawnmower blades slightly higher, but continue regular cutting. Daisy proliferation is common in lawns that are compacted through use (or heavy soil), and where the lawn is cut too low too often, weakening the grasses and allowing weeds to predominate.

You can weed, weedkill, rake and use lawn sand, but if you continue to cut a lawn too low, you'll always help weeds spread in the wakened grass. It's a common English habit, scalping our lawns to match Wimbledon Courts! :D

    Thank you all :)

I might just have to learn to like them, the resident birdies and bumbles certainly do :D

I wish they would take over my lawn, I have plenty of dandylions which I love but would adore lots of daisies too.

I would just be tempted to make daisy chains tbh. Enjoy them!

Verdone is amazing stuff! The only weedkiller I use on my lawn.

I do like daisies on my front lawn, but not on the back - its like a bowling green and taken me years to get perfect.

I love daisies. My sister and I collected them to sprinkle on the lawn in my first house.

me too - I currently have a little crop of daisies in one part of my lawn, and some really pretty tiny white/blue flowers in it too :).
