Your first step is to look round and check those domain names are available, and whether anyone else is already using them in your area.

In addition to this, it may be worth setting up a dormant Limited company in this name.

You can see what's already in use here.

So if you go with Samsonprince Catering, you could have Samsonprince Catering Limited to merge into, in the future.

If you can remove a family name from it if you wish to give it a larger feel. A general list would be

    1. Is the .com or ..co.uk domain available
    2. Make sure you do not have the same name as anyone operating on a national or international stage to avoid being accused of "passing off"
    3. Same with something trademarked
    4. If you get a good name, keep it to yourself until you have secured 1. It does not really matter about incorporating it yet until you decide if you want to, or it become necessary to do so.

When I do a name session with clients, I generally look to ask the what makes them think of the name. Get a pen and paper, sit down and do a bit of word association. Usually the first names are the best.

What words firstly describe food, the desire to eat or buy food. Then think of a reassuring name, then the style. So that could lead you to something such as :

Deliciousness on a plate. - now that's too long for an easy domain, you look the other way to a shorter one such as

Plated delights, or a really good one I have just checked is available is www.voulez-vous.co.uk which means "you want", but of course will catch a lot on any searches due to the ABBA song
