Electricians in London

Hi everyone,
I need to find a spark to take a look at the electrics in a flat I've just bought. There's nothing major needing doing - some of the lights are a bit wonky, but nothing to compromise safety.
It's a leasehold flat and I have vague recollection that any work needs to be carried out by a recognised tradesman. My question is - which body are electricians aligned with? I've seen mention of ELECSA, TrustMark and NICEIC but am confused as to what they all mean?
Also, does anyone know roughly how much an electrician charges in London (per hour)?

You might be better off on the 'In the Home' sub-board, which is mainly DIY-focused.0

Most electricians will quote on a job basis or on a day rate, not per hour I think you will find.
Just get 2 or 3 quotes & compare is the best way to go.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

NICEIC, NAPIT, and ELECSA are all government-approved competent person schemes (there are a couple more, but trying not to confuse) - they are all equal, however some have their "favourites" and the question of which one is best is discussion in itself, full of opinion and bias!!!!
TrustMark is a similar kind of scheme, but I believe that it covers multiple trades and not just electrical.
If you absolutely cannot get a personal recommendation, I would suggest that you check (for obtaining quotes from locals) on the following;
ElectricSafe
Electrical Safety Register
Do not ask why there are two, it'll just get political, as they are run by competitive schemes who can't work in the collective, and not just their own, interest...
Hope that helps somewhat..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."
