Site and location plan drawings for planning application

How much would it cost to get planning drawings and calculations done for an existing property, to apply for a Certificate of lawfulness of existing use or development (CLEUD)? I'm guessing either a structural engineer or an architect would be needed here.

This website quotes at least £1400, but that's a full-service package (including application forms, consultancy and hand-holding, which I don't think is necessary). Looking online, prices seem to range all the way from £300 to £1200.

Can anyone shed any light?

that seems very expensive imo, surely all they are doing is doing a measured survey of what's built?
iirc you also have to submit some evidence that it's been there long enough to outside of the timescales for requiring planning permission

are you going for a letter of comfort (or equivalent) - for building regs stuff too?

I have had a look at that site and i'd say they are expensive for everything but then again it is London - I would look for a technician/architectural designer working in your area and get a quote for the works
