key financial claims F.O

I used Key Financial Claims (KFC) to claim back PPI, my claim from Barclaycard was sent to Financial Ombudsman over 2 yrs ago, I decided to ring F.O in Feb of this year to see how the claim was progressing, I was given a reference number for the claim by the F.O.
I was told that they had ruled in my favour in Nov 2012, that I had been missold the PPI.
I rang KFC & they said yes but were still waiting for a response form Barclaycard. I gave it a month & rang back KFC told me that they had re written to Barclaycard to see what their response was. I heard no more.
So decided to sent KFC an email this morning, they then to dl me that they dont know where I got this info from as, it never happened & that they had rang th F.O who told them that they have no record I ever rang.
Any ideas or are KFC trying it on.

    All you have to do to establish the truth is to contact FOS again and quote the case reference number you were given in February.

    Just because the Ombudsman has apparently upheld your complaint, it doesn't mean a payout is imminent. Barclaycard are allowed to appeal (and may already have done so).

    I don't think KFC are "trying it on" because if you receive no payment then neither do they.


    I do have to query using Kentucky Fried Chicken to represent you in a PPI complaint, though.:D
