In my opinion - This is a great software suite...

Used it for the first time yesterday - So easy to use.

Both iTunes and Mediamonkey fail to transfer songs I dowloaded directly to my iPhone back to my laptop as a backup.
Am I right that Copytrans Manager Free cannot transfer music laptop at all, while Copytrans Manager is a paid for program? There is a trial version but the website is suspicously coy about what the trial can do, and does not reveal the purchase price of the full version.
Edit - 6 clicks later, got the price, 39 USD, gotta be joking, for a prog that does what iTunes is supposed to do already.0 -
Well that was interesting, I went ahead and installed Copytrans anyway, as this gives access the the free trial version (little publicized!). There is apparently a track limit when you do a bulk backup/transfer, something like 250 songs.
All I needed was to retrieve 1 album.
And Copytrans did the job instantly and simply, where both iTunes and Mediamonkey have failed totally!
I can see the USD 39 price being a sort of instant ranson fee to pay if your computer crashes and you are desperate to back up all the music from your iPhone. Were the price below USD 20 I'd be tempted... will watch out for special offers.
Meanwhile thanks Mikebellows for that tip!0 -

Copytrans not listed in that Wiki... iTunes appears to do everything one could need per that Wiki - in my case it does not. Wonder what Wikipedia's updating rules are.0

iPhone Magic Platinum by Xillisoft does everything that iTunes does, and a whole lot more.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
Personally I wouldn't go anywhere near this dodgy software
Strong words. Your evidence to support this statement is .... ?
Note: I do not use this software, and have no interest in it. But I do have interest in seeing people making potentially libellous statements without providing evidence.0 -
Amarok is now available for Windows.
This stalwart of Linux distros even has a feature were a song can be listened-to just by hovering your mouse over the icon.
I believe that Amarok can also link to iTunes for the purchase of music & other media (Apple decided to allow Amarok's developers to build-in access to iTunes as Apple had no wish to repackage the Mac version of Itunes for Linux as Amarok was already a better media suite)Never Knowingly Understood.
