Former Egg card with £0 limit

Many moons ago Egg had a purge and alot of customers, myself included, were told that the credit facility was being withdrawn - the account would stay open until the balance was paid off but that was all.
Obviously Egg sold out to Barclaycard and I've noticed on my statements that the credit limit was £0.
As I've now paid off the balance what happens to the account? Is it closed automatically or do I have to close it like another account?
