Lizling, may I think you are a management accountant? If yes, could you please give some clue what the normal type of junior level staff is? Graduates with accounting degree or not necessary?

AP007, my plan was to pass the operational level of CIMA and find a junior level accountant job to begin with - even not necessary to be "management accountant" related... (I thought) and then work gradually towards that direction to management accountant.

A company will want experience of about 2-3 years practical (like roles within an accounts team) along with the CIMA you see

That makes it clearer. I will be looking at the lowest level in a financial functional team then?

I am not telling you what job to look for you just to know what you have a chance at and where you want to go when you have got in the door.

Thanks, AP007. I think I would have to start going after it and try each approach before I know how I could make it happen. But I am prepared to start from junior level or as a trainee. It's fair but promising as long as I am wiling to study for qualification.
