I have just had dealings with Smart Insurance. I took out a policy with them to cover minor scratches on my new car. I was hesitant but thought it would give me peace of mind. It cost £245.00.
A few months later I got a chip in the paintwork at the front of my car. So I ring them up and they say I'm not covered for chips on flat surfaces such as the bonnet and roof (even though I argued this wasnt a flat surface). The more I read the small print the more i realized they basically wont pay out for any scratches and chips. Beware this is not a good company.

Many thanks Rael39. I was looking at them for life insurance but this is s reflection of how they look at things.

I'm pretty sure that is a different company. I have no knowledge of either.

I didn`t want to do this so as to avoid `plugging` a site but, to avoid confusion, this is the Co that I`m referring to http://www.smartinsurance.co.uk/

Any comments, good or bad, would be appreciated.
