Cats having teeth removed.

When we rescued our Bob last year, he had had some dental work done, and so we knew that he was at risk of having to have further dental work. We took him for his boosters and annual check up in Feb, and was not surprised to hear that he needed to have a scale and polish, and possibly some extractions. We took him in, and he needed some extractions. he came home on antibiotics and metacam(analgesia). We were told to give it him for up to 5 days ( we gave it for 3). Think that this is fairly standard post-op care for dental work on cats. We also had to go back after 3 days for a post op check as it was one of his canines that he had removed and so had to have a suture in his gum. he had light diet on the evening that he came home - as he only has dried kibbles to eat for his teeth, we had to give him something soft. tasty tuna did the trick, and I mixed the metacam into that. the antibiotics I hid in some chopped up king prawn.0
