You haven't been there long enough to get anything out of redundancy. I would still get advice from CAB and ACAS but sit tight and look for another job. Good luck:hello:0

Thanks Elsiegirl
Do you think it makes any difference that I had been given a verbal warning that I appealed and it has not yet been resolved?
Called ACAS and they said its up to me what I do.... not that helpful, but also mentioned, like you said, I havent been there long enough.
The job search is on!

How did we get to the verbal warning? There appears to be no mention of the dicsiplinary process having been started.Appologies if i've missed something.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
Hi
Yes I was given a verbal warning three months back that still hasn't been resolved after I appealed it.
I was told that the position of sales manager is redundent and am to work on as a sales person, but no mention of the appeal was made. I then called my regional manager to complain and he has yet to get back to me.
My meeting on Friday went ok. I have decided to resign next week though.
The CAB said that te redundency is legal and there is no grounds for unfair dismissal since I have only been ther 6 months.
So the job search is on.
Thanks all for the advice.

Did the CAB mention Wrongful Dismissal? This is not the same as unfair/unlawful dismissal. It means that the dismissal was not carried out according to your contract (eg not enough notice given) or if the disciplinary procedure leading to a dismissal was not followed. Of course that only comes into the equation if you stay and are actually dismissed.0

Hi guys,
thanks for all the advice. I decided to take the redundency and was asked to leave the building immediatelyAlways thought it would feel great to elave but being usered out was rather embarassing.
Nevermind, If anyone needs some advice on how to get cheap gym membership, I am now the one to talk to
Thanks again

Even though they didn't want you to work your notice, you should be paid for it, plus any holidays you haven't taken - pro rata for the year. so if your leave year runs from January, and you haven't yet taken any leave, then you'd be getting at least 10 days leave paid to you, I believe.Signature removed for peace of mind0
