Hi
I hope someone can take a quick look at my quote for a Saponetta kitchen. I've been quoted £2100.

7 base units (2 corner cabs, 50cm sink cab, 60cm pan drawer cab, 60cm cab, 50cm cab, oven housing)
7 wall units (corner cab, fan cab, 1x 50cm cab, 2x 60cm cabs, 2x80cm cabs)
3 plinths
6 cornice
3 wall cab end panels
9 metres oak laminate worktop
1 upstand
1 corner pull out mechanism (approx cost £250)
16 handles

Never bought a kitchen before, so no idea if this is good price or not.

Thanks in advance

Are you buying direct or through a fitter? If direct it will help if you can state the discount you've been given.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Hi, am buying direct. On the listing I was given between 70 and 85% on cabinets. Worktops, end panels and pull out were added later and I've no idea what discount if any has been applied.

I undertand the way the company works, but is very frustrating as a customer to not see actual prices. I know/expect I can't get a price to rival a tradesperson but I do want/need value for money.

The list I saw only had a total price on it so I have no idea as to what individual items actually cost. Saponetta is second cheapest range AFAIK and I just want to make sure the quote reflects this.

Well, finally got a list with the actual prices on it. List prices are absolutely ludicrous. Really don't like Howdens pricing - although it looks like I've got good discounts, it really does feel like it's all just 'made up'.

Price for Saponetta came out on par with B&Q IT gloss kitchen and DIY-kitchens Fresco range, We decided to go with Howdens mainly for convenience - we don't have to assemble, and if there are any problems the warehouse is close enough that they should be sorted quickly.

Staff have been lovely and very helpful, not pushy at all and was very simple to set up account. Have had to make a couple of changes to my order, which was done without fuss. I have been pleasantly surprised after hearing stories of terrible customer service. Course this may change - I haven't received my kitchen yet..

Would advise others to at least try to set up account if they don't know a tradesperson with an account. We have plenty of work to do on the house so Howdens will be getting plenty of custom from us in the future.
