As previously mentioned, looking for a decent laptop for son but wasn't too sure about the Vista Basic. This seems to be quite a reasonable one for the money.
Any feedback would be appreciated by some of you techies out there because I haven't really got a clue! Thanks.

Try dabs.com for a laptop. They're usually quite a bit cheaper, or even Dell. I think I'd probably go for a dedicated graphics card also.Cheers,

Still can't decide whether to go for Vista or stick to XP - some people seem to have issues with Vista and I don't know enough about computers to be able to fix things that don't work straightaway. Also it seems strange that Dell are still giving the option of both. Can you load existing programs that you already have like Office onto Vista?Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0
