Housing benefit and ESA

I have just been transferred from IB to ESA support group and receive housing benefit. Do I have to tell the Housing office about the change myself or will they be informed anyway?
Is there likely to be any delay in rent payments because of this? MY housing benefit is paid on the 28th and i start ESA on the 25th so I am worried about the dates being so close together if there is a delay?
Thanks every so much.

They should already have been informed via ATLAS, however , it is your responsibility to notify them of changes so I would call them anyway to cover your bases.0

Agree with Tom, sometimes take a while for the change to be applied, therefore let your LA know of the change to your circumstances.Forums can be/are a good guide to entitlement and it is good practice to back it up with clarification from the relevant department/specialist with written confirmation to safeguard yourself.0

Also if you have no other income (other than ESA), savings under £16k and live alone you may also want to claim income-related ESA as people in the support group who pass the means test receive an additional amount of money called an 'enhanced disability premium'.
You would need to request and complete an ESA3 form.0
