A lovely gesture

Today I took my 11 year old daughter into town to shop for her prom dress, shoes and other stuff.
We had a lovely time together, having lunch at Costa Coffee and she spent some of her birthday money on things for herself.
On the way back to the car, we stopped at the flower stall and she bought me a bunch of flowers! Cue one tearful mum, overwhelmed with this lovely gesture from her daughter.:heartsmil

Awww, how lovely of her! That's really touching.

Just wondering - is prom a school formal? Do they have them at 11 now? I must be out of touch lol xx

It's referred to as a prom but it really is a leavers disco for the Year 6 children, held at the school.Prom sounds a little more grown up to them!
