THe shop is using it as an added service, through which they hope to attract additional custom.

Creation is using it to make money.

Ultimately, they will both only offer it if it makes them money. The tone of the M&Co letter shows that they were happy with the additional custom but are annoyed that Creation also wanted to make a profit.

Simax, I was hoping you would reply as I finally managed to find out how to post the letter on here.
I do have credit cards to use, in fact it's better to use my Tesco one as I then get points, and get loyalty points from M & Co as well but it's the principle that they only want people who earn them money.
I thought they would have to take both types of customer not just the harder up ones who get into debt.

Sorry I've not replied. Been unwell.

I think they may be offloading everyone off this card as they don't seem to be offering the card anymore on their website and just using generic letter as a brush-off.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

I used to work for M&Co. I wouldn't bother shopping there if I were you. They treat the staff horribly and you can get better stuff for the same price or less in Marks and Spencer with first class service from staff who are treated right.

Lol funny you should say that, I was in M & S last week and I overheard 3 members of staff having a good old moan about pay and conditions in full sight and sound of customers, quite unprofessional I thought.
Must admit though I do like M & Co stuff.
