  • I moved into a TW new build in December. Overall very happy! Take a look at my previous posts - I'm pretty sure I've posted since I moved in!

I do think it varies between the TW regional offices and from site to site though depending on the site manager etc!

There is a Taylor Wimpey development near me and they have just put a banner up declaring themselves new house builder of the year so they can't be too bad.

From whom though? There are enough of these awards for them all to have one?
  • We bought from TW 5 years ago, and they were fantastic. We had 2 years from moving in to report any issues, and when we did they were there within a few days to fix them. Couldn't be happier with the quality and service. (This was in Northamptonshire)

  • Hey thought I'd hijack an older thread.

Just looking to see if anyone has any recent experiences too? In particular in Dargavel village in Bishopton Scotland?

We went 'Just for a look' one day and by the next week we had decided to put the house on the market and hope for the best really! We were really lucky to sell the house in a week and get full home report value!

We were waiting on a TW house to be released for sale which unfortunately came in 10k over budget!! After some negotiations because we were in a position to move they agreed which we are delighted about. Paid the £500 reservation fee and now the countdown begins! The staff we have been dealing with have been great and we have had no problems so far and they have been really helpful.

Just to see of anyone else has bought there and what their experience has been since you moved in?

Been told by another builder that the site manager is excellent so fingers crossed. First new build and it's what I've always wanted :)

  • Do you know I've actually read so my replies like that in other threads. I'm looking for information not smarmy replies thanks. I can show you my reservation form and my home that's up for sale which is currently under offer although not sure why I should have to prove this.

I understand that new builds are not for everyone but have no idea why people have been really negative to others when it's what they want.

It's what I want. I was toying between taylor wimpey and persimmon but TW had a house ready in the time frame we wanted. I have no doubt that there will be problems but looking for someone else's insight.
  • I have just bought new home with them, expected to move in November so would be interested in any recent experiences
