How do I set up a wireless connection?

Sorry, it's me again, the technophobe:o
I have always used my computer on a wired internet connection. The router that I have does have a wireless option, but I have never (at least knowingly) used it.
However, now I have just book a Nook ereader and the only way to get books onto it is via wifi:eek:
The book that came with the router has on the front page a wireless network name and a security key, but I haven't got a clue where to put these.
I still want to use my computer on the wired connection only and just use the Nook on wifi, so please can somebody tell me how to go about getting a secure wifi connection for the Nook.
Many thanks in advance.

Not sure whether this will help.

Hope it's useful, otherwise someone else will be along soon who can offer better advice.

Thank you - from reading that it looks like I may already have a wifi connection then (the light is always lit up on the router) and so if I connect the Nook, it should hopefully ask me for the security key each time I use it.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Not too sure about the Nook reader, but if it's anything like my mini ipad, once you've typed in the secruity key, you shouldn't need to do this again.
Hope you manage to get connected.0 -
You can always connect the nook via usb to load books with out the need for wifi.
