in Credit cards
I will be paying for the hire of a wedding venue , at a cost of 1k this weekend for a reception in 12 months time . My question is if I pay by credit card will I be covered if prior to the wedding The company go bust or out of business . I was initially planning to pay cash .

So long as you're paying the people who are providing the service directly, ie not an intermediary, then you're covered under section 75.
But you don't have to pay the whole lot on your card...a deposit (of any amount) would get you the same protection.0 -
