mum's insurance?

Is there such a thing as an insurance policy that will pay out enough for a child minder/nanny in the event of a full-time mum being unable to carry out the usual child care duties due to ill-health or injury?
I suppose Critical Illness would pay out if the illness contracted was covered under the terms of the policy, but what about say a road accident that wasn't an illness but meant you weren't able to take the kids to school or do much for them at home?
I'm not sure PHI would work as it tends to be related to income and full time mums tend not to have any earnings as such (but to replace a full time mum would cost £££s a year).
I'm 37 and my wide 35 we have a son aged 10 weeks. I work full time earning 40k, shes a full time mum at present with no earnings.

PHI is fine for this. Typically, you would set housewife to £12k to £15k p.a.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
