The Mystery of 'This Page Can't Be Displayed'

This one has me beat, so I'd welcome any insight into what may be going on.
I'm with Virgin on an ADSL+2 connection. Windows 7 Ultimate and IE10.
I am a member of one of the Yahoo email groups http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Bluebell/ and every morning I log in and read all the new messages that members have left. It's a slow service but it works fine ... that is until mid-day when all I get is 'This page can't be displayed'!
It's as though someone throws a big switch every day around noon and turns off access to Yahoo groups. All other websites remain accessible.
When I try the 'Is It Just Me' website it reports that it is just me and that the Yahoo groups site is up and running. I find this really bizarre. I've checked my router settings and IE10 settings and cannot find anything that might cause this issue.
Any thoughts out there please?

I've been having the same problem (consistently) on some sites.
There's obviously some complex solution, somewhere.
However, if you try the site using Chrome rather than IE, I can get access to the page.
Hope this helps.Nice to save.0 -
Sounds completely daft but is it traffic from other countries slowing it down? Lunch time for us is about when America begins to log on.'til the end of the line0
