My son has downloaded ilivid:mad: Does anyone know how to get it off? I'm using windows 8.

I deleted the post - I missed that you were using Win 8. ADwCleaner does support Win 8.

It's not clear whether you've run AdwCleaner or not.

No, I haven't downloaded & run AdwCleaner yet. I'm still feeling VERY ANGRY with my son.

Once I've downloaded AdwCleaner & done the nasty, will it be easy to also remove AdwCleaner?

Right click it, chose 'run as administrator', select uninstall.

AdwCleaner is a standalone executable - It doesn't "install" as such. The uninstall function deletes the executable and any logs it's created at the root of the system drive.

I wouldn't dwell on your son downloading a virus / adware.

Even the brightest have done it.

The important thing is that you have the software to protect yourself.

Go give your son a big hug and thank him for allowing you to exercise your mind in clearing the issue.
