Yates Bar @ Birmingham Airport

Does anybody know if you can use Clubcard deals at the Yates Bar, Birmingham airport?
The Yates website doesn't even show that there is one, Birmingham airport website says they do but give no phone number to call them

Anyone help?
I haven't got one!

can't help with that one but a general "heads up" for anyone flying out of Brum...
Join the BHX Flight Club - doesn't cost you anything, you get a magazine every quarter which you can burn/roll up and smoke at your leisure, but most importantly you get a Discount Card that entitles you to 10% off most retailers at the airport e.g. weatherspoons and most of the other pubs, coffee houses etc.

I very much doubt it. It is probably in the terms and conditions somewhere "participating outlets etc".

Bare in mind that most of the high street catering brands at airports are just franchises that aren't run by the company that own the name. Most of the catering outlets at BHX are run by a company called Select Service Partner. This includes Millies Cookies, Burger King and also Yates. Therefore I doubt very much they willa ccept Tesco vouchers.

The exception to this is Wetherspoons who operate all of their own airport branches. As an aside, Wetherspoons and Yate's aren't too bad at BHX, in terms of price, in fact I think they are quite fair. Had a 5 hour delay in BHX a few months back which was spent in Yates and I certainly didn't feel I was being ripped off, in fact I don't think it was anymore than you'd pay in Birmingham city centre on a Saturday night!

I'm not doubting or second guessing you, just pointing out that as the BHX branch isn't technically run by Yates I don't think the vouchers will be accepted.

Also, on the Yates page on the clubcard deals website it states this at the bottom:
    Terms and conditions
Tokens can be used as full or part payment towards food only. Tokens cannot be used to purchase drinks, merchandise or towards promotional and set menus. Maximum of 8 guests per party. Not available at Yates's Manchester Piccadilly station, Yates's Gatwick Airport and Yates's Leeds Bradford Airport.

All standard Clubcard Deals scheme terms and conditions apply, these can be found on the website.

Granted, it doesn't state Birmingham Airport, but the fact it states Gatwick and Leeds which are also SSP managed makes me think BHX will also be excluded. Yates at BHX is fairly new and I guess its just Tesco haven't updated the website, or the infomration hasn't filtered through to Tesco...

The bar at Manchester Piccadilly hasn't been a yates' for ages, so I'd think tesco haven't updated those t&c for a while

isn't the bar upstairs in the station a Yates'? or am i just really really oblivious!

if the T&Cs don't exclude the Birmingham airport one, wouldn't it be possible to come back to tesco and complain if the deals vouchers weren't accepted?

If you mean the one in departures in T1, I can only suggest you need 5 hours in there!

We've tried it twice (thought the first time was because they'd just opened) and cancelled our food orders both times because it was taking so long.

But can definitely recommend the Weatherspoons BEFORE departures in T1. Good food and friendly, quick service when we've used it.

Haha I can see what you mean. I didnt order food as had eaten already, but the service was awfully slow. Then again they did have a 737 load of passengers descend on them all at once! (We had actually boarded the aircraft and had to disembark). They had a strange single file queue thing going on which was just bizarre!

I doubt it, in their general deals terms and conditions Tesco pretty much divulge themselves of any responsibility saying the offer is subject to conditions and availability of the provider.

To be honest its probably not Tesco's fault. I would imagine the information hasn't got back to Tesco. I doubt clubcard deals is high on Yate's list of priorities anwyay, and the fact that a new franchise has opened operated by a service provider which won't take deals vouchers, I seriously doubt its crossed anyone at Yates' mind to advise Tesco to ammend their T & C's....!
