Urgent help windows xp

Installed xpsp2. Now windows won't let me open control panel on any XP areas. It opens them and then comes up with an error message saying its had to close it down. On two XP areas i can access the internet but nothing else. Help please.

i cant help you with your question but i know how evil sp2 is has completly wrecked my pc have had to reinstall windows from scratch and will not be reinstalling sp2 ever again.

After hours of trauma manage to remove it and computer is fine again. Have installed it on another computer and that was ok so I didn't think there would be a problem, but won't try it again.

as is always the case with large upgrades..... which effectively is what windows xp sp2 is...

there are bugs/problems which have ben found in testing, but too late to include fixes in the sp2 release.
partly due to microsoft getting hit from all directions because of existing bugs/problems that have been reaking havoc on the internet due to viruses/trojans etc

since the last recreation of the sp2 master release, microsoft have been working with others to rectify the problems- but microsoft have only put the information on the internet.................. bl@@dy laughable.....

apply a fix, then to correct the bugs the fix creates, see the internet..... how if the bug is stopping you getting onto the internet... i sometimes wonder whether big companies actually listen to the workers down the chain for simple practicle ideas/fixes........

I personally do not apply any program fixes on there immediate release due to previous versions/release having the same sort of big problems as sp2 is causing
