DPS deposit return

I moved out of a rented property on May 6th. Agent told me checkout had been done and all was fine (there was no signed inventory at check in though so they wouldnt be able to prove any claims anyway).
I requested the return of my deposit via DPS website but it still says "awaiting agent/landlord response". How long do I need to give them to respond?

I saw that but that seems to be more about the single claims process which is to be used in the case of a dispute, also it seems to be more to do with landlords than tenants.
I found this one https://www.depositprotection.com/documents/tenant-guide-custodial.pdf although it does say that both parties need to agree before any money is repaid. So what if they just do not reply at all? I think its unfair that I should wait longer than is needed to get my money back. If the landlord wanted to claim for damages or anything surely they would have done so by now?0 -
You can start a 'single claim' process as soon as the 14 days are over, that will prompt DPS to send a letter to the landlord.0
